A social worker is primarily interested in the improvement of the human condition, both for individuals and for a community and society at large. Social workers provide aid, comfort and health assistance to individuals on all economic levels. A candidate can pursue Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work which is commonly referred as BSW, it is a 4-year degree commonly base requirement for a job in social work. This degree course prepares students for direct service positions on the individual or community level. With this degree under your belt, you are entitled to work as case a consultant, child life specialist etc.
The other course i.e. DSW stands for “Doctor in Social Work,” while PhD translates to “Doctor in Philosophy”. However, there is no major difference between these two degrees; the terminology is a matter of preference. The Doctoral program generally takes between two and four years to complete, and focus heavily on research techniques.
